When the operating temperature exceeds 70°C, the lubricating grease must be doubled for every 15°C increase. 2. When the bearing is contaminated, such as with dust, moisture, acidic or alkaline environments, the lubricating grease must also be doubled. 3. When the bearing load is heavy, such as with vibration or pressure, the lubricating grease must be doubled as well. If the operating conditions have all of the above, then the fresh grease must be replenished in an even greater amount to ensure lubrication quality. The bearing should have adequate space internally to allow for the expulsion of excess grease during startup, and since grease has a shelf life, regularly replenishing fresh grease to expel contaminated grease will allow the bearing to maintain its quality and lifespan.
