Insulation boards are categorized into expanded polystyrene, extruded polystyrene, phenolic foam, and mineral wool boards.
Insulation boards are panels with thermal insulation properties, commonly used in wall decoration. They are made by heating and mixing materials like polystyrene resin and polymer, then injecting a catalyst to create them. They offer good moisture and water resistance, as well as excellent fire resistance, thermal insulation, and strength.
Polyurethane thermal insulation boards offer excellent insulation properties, with better thermal resistance than materials like mineral wool, glass fiber, and polystyrene. They also have a long service life. Extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation boards feature a dense surface structure and a closed-cell inner layer, providing good moisture resistance. Even in damp conditions, their insulation and thermal resistance remain unaffected.
Before conducting insulation work, check if the walls are flat. If there are uneven areas, they should be addressed immediately to ensure subsequent work is not affected. Pay attention to the temperature at the construction site; only when it meets the construction requirements can work proceed. After all is taken care of, proceed with the protective exterior work on the walls to extend their service life.
