PowderMetallurgyIntroduction to Technology and Products
Powder metallurgy products are precision-finished using metal powders such as iron, copper, and stainless steel powders, through the sintering process of forming and sintering. The traditional process involves mixing powders, pressing, sintering, finishing, and post-processing (such as oil immersion, packaging, machining, etc.). This means that the high-purity mixed powder is first placed in a mold and formed under pressure. The formed preforms are then sintered in a controlled atmosphere furnace at temperatures below the melting point of the base material, allowing for metallurgical bonding between the powder particles.
