PowderMetallurgyIntroduction to Technology and Products
Powder metallurgy products are precision-machined from metal powders such as iron, copper, and stainless steel powders, utilizing the sintering process. The traditional production process includes mixing, pressing, sintering, finishing, and post-processing (such as oil immersion, packaging, and machining). This involves first filling a mold with a high-purity mixed powder, then forming it under pressure. The formed preforms are then sintered in a controlled atmosphere furnace at temperatures below the melting point of the base material, allowing for metallurgical bonding between the powder particles.
