During the assembly of the PP fan housing, position the housing with respect to the rotor shaft centerline. Adjust the axial and radial gaps between the impeller inlet and the housing inlet to the range specified in the equipment technical documents at high speed. Meanwhile, check if the anchor bolts are securely tightened. If the technical documents do not specify the gap values, the general axial gap should be 1/100 of the impeller outer diameter, and the radial gap should be evenly distributed, with a value of 1.5/1000 to 3/1000 of the impeller outer diameter (for smaller outer diameters, use the larger value). Strive to minimize the gap values during adjustment to improve the fan efficiency.

When selecting a PP fan, consider the air leakage loss of the pipeline system, calculate the error, and account for the negative error of the centrifugal fan's actual air volume and pressure. Generally, a safety factor of 1.05 to 1.1 for air volume and 1.10 to 1.15 for air pressure is adopted. However, it is not advisable to use an overly high safety factor to avoid the centrifugal fan operating continuously in the low-efficiency zone.
