During the assembly of the PP fan housing, position the housing with respect to the rotor shaft centerline, and adjust the axial and radial clearances between the impeller inlet and the housing inlet to the range specified in the equipment technical documents. At the same time, check that the foot bolts are tightened. If the technical documents do not specify the clearance values, the general axial clearance should be 1/100 of the impeller outer diameter, and the radial clearance should be evenly distributed, with a value of 1.5/1000 to 3/1000 of the impeller outer diameter (for smaller outer diameters, use the larger value). Aim for smaller clearance values during adjustment to improve the fan's efficiency.

When selecting a PP fan, consider the air leakage loss of the pipeline system, the calculation error, and the negative error of the centrifugal fan's actual air volume and pressure. Generally, a safety factor of 1.05 to 1.1 for air volume and 1.10 to 1.15 for pressure is adopted. However, it is not advisable to use an overly high safety factor to prevent the centrifugal fan from operating in a low-efficiency area for an extended period.
