Lead wire gabions are mechanically woven from high corrosion-resistant, high-tensile, and ductile low-carbon steel wire, or coated with PVC, and the box-like structures made from this mesh are called gabion boxes. The diameter of the low-carbon steel wire used varies according to engineering design requirements, generally ranging from 2.0 to 4.0 mm. The tensile strength of the gabion mesh wire is not less than 38 kg/m², the weight of the metal coating is usually more than 245 g/m², and the diameter of the edge line of the gabion mesh sheet is generally larger than that of the wire. The length of the double twisted section must not be less than 50 mm to ensure that the metal and PVC coatings of the twisted wire are not damaged.

2. Edge wire is generally thicker than mesh wire, 0.5-1.0mm thicker than mesh wire.

Galvanized by electroplating. Zinc coating of 10g/m². Poor corrosion resistance.
2. Hot galvanized. The zinc coating can reach up to 300g/m². Strong corrosion resistance.
3. Galfan (Zn-Al alloy). This is divided into two materials: zinc-5% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire and zinc-10% aluminum-mixed rare earth alloy wire.
4. PVC Coated. The coating thickness typically includes a 1.0mm layer, for instance: after coating, a 2.7mm material becomes 3.7mm thick.
