Fan unit equipped with sound-insulating cover
Due to the vibration noise from the coal mine fan foundation, motor, housing, and other parts being one of the primary sources of noise. Therefore, comprehensive treatment measures are required, with commonly used and effective ones being the installation of soundproof enclosures for the fan unit. The installation of soundproof enclosures involves enclosing the entire fan unit with a sealed soundproof shell. These enclosures are designed based on soundproofing principles and consist of a soundproofing layer with damping material, an absorbent layer, and a protective surface layer. This design provides both soundproofing and noise absorption, significantly enhancing the noise reduction effect. To install soundproof enclosures on fans, the temperature rise and cooling of the unit must first be addressed. After the fan unit is fitted with a soundproof enclosure, the heat emitted by the fan operation and the motor accumulates inside, causing an increase in temperature. Higher temperatures not only reduce the insulation performance and efficiency of the motor but can also lead to motor damage in severe cases, making the operation of the motor highly不利. The cooling measures commonly used globally are air-cooling methods. Coating the surface of the fan housing with damping material is also beneficial for vibration reduction and noise reduction, as damping materials have the ability to dissipate mechanical energy. By applying damping material to the surface of the housing to form a free layer, when the structure vibrates and radiates noise, the damping layer deforms. The internal friction of the damping material dissipates mechanical energy into heat, which is then dispersed into the surrounding environment, achieving the noise reduction goal.
Refurbished Fan Room
For specialized fan rooms, it is recommended to transform them into soundproof rooms based on the on-site conditions to achieve the noise reduction goal. The approach is to use lightweight color steel plate structure for the roof of the fan room, as this structure has a smooth surface, an almost zero sound absorption coefficient, and high reflection of sound. Moreover, the sound insulation of the color steel plate structure is low, which makes installing an acoustic roof on the ceiling an effective way to eliminate high-frequency echo noise inside the room, and also provides some sound insulation, thereby improving the overall roof sound insulation. An air intake muffler must be installed on the sealed fan room to meet the requirements of air intake for the fan and heat dissipation for the motor and housing. An additional muffler can also be installed on the exhaust pipe of the cooling fan to reduce the noise of the fan exhaust.
