Dendrobium flowers infused in water are beneficial for nourishing yin, moistening the throat, and clearing heat. Dendrobium infusion is suitable for conditions such as heat-induced injury to fluid, dry mouth, post-disease yin deficiency, persistent low-grade fever, night heat and early morning coolness, insufficient stomach yin, thin coating on the tongue, and rapid, thin pulse. It is often used in combination with raw rehmannia, ophiopogon, trichosanthes root, asparagus root, polygonatum, and lily. However, due to its sweet and cold properties, it may help to accumulate pathogenic dampness. Therefore, it is not recommended for those with dampness and stagnation, or for those with damp-heat not yet transformed into dryness; it should be strictly avoided for those with warm-damp diseases.
