Design and installation standards for data centers

The steps for the unit installation plan should be the installation location of the selected unit. Typically, the choice of installation site is based on the convenience of use, the economic feasibility of distribution connections, and the usage and maintenance of the unit. However, several aspects should be considered when choosing the installation location.

As shown in Figure 1, to ensure smooth ventilation in the engine compartment, the hot air exhausted from the radiator is directed out of the compartment and prevented from backflow.

Ensure the equipment produces as little noise and smoke as possible during operation to minimize environmental pollution.

3. There should be ample space around the generator set for cooling, operation, and maintenance. Generally, there should be no other objects within a range of 1 to 1.5 meters and 1.5 to 2 meters.

Ensure the equipment is protected from rain, sun protection, wind, overheating, and frost damage.

5. Flammable and explosive materials are stored around the equipment.
