Zibo Fan Co., Ltd. Standard Shutdown Procedure for Mine Fans

Zibo Blower Factory Co., Ltd. advises that operation of our mine blowers must follow the correct procedure, particularly during shutdown. Improper handling during shutdown can easily lead to equipment damage. After shutdown, it is crucial to check that all components are in place before leaving. Below, we provide a detailed explanation of the shutdown steps.

(1) Gradually open the mine fan exhaust valve (or bypass valve on the outlet), while simultaneously gradually closing the exhaust valve.

Step the intake throttle valve down to 20-25° gradually.

(3) Press the parking button and pay attention to any abnormal phenomena during the shutdown process.

After 5 to 10 minutes of the mine fan unit being stopped, or when the bearing temperature drops below 45°C, oil supply can be halted. For units with floating ring seals, the sealing oil pump must continue to supply oil until the body temperature is below 80°C.

When operating mine fans, it's crucial to follow the specified procedures. Not only ensure the correct shutdown position, but also that the equipment's temperature is reduced to a normal level before stopping. This prevents residual airflow after shutdown from affecting the subsequent normal operation of the fan. The aforementioned methods can be used as a reference in the future.
