Product Overview
A spiral plate heat exchanger is a heat exchange equipment suitable for gas-gas, gas-liquid, and liquid-liquid heat transfer for liquids. It is used in industries such as chemicals, petrochemicals, solvents, food, light industry, textiles, metallurgy, rolling steel, and coking. It can be classified into non-detachable (Type I) and detachable (Type II, Type III) spiral plate heat exchangers based on structural form.

The structure of the non-separable spiral plate heat exchanger is relatively simple, with both ends of the spiral channels welded shut.
The removable spiral plate heat exchanger is identical to the non-removable type in all aspects except for the sealing structure at the ends of the spiral channels. To achieve mechanical cleaning, the removable spiral channels have one end open, sealed with a flat plate cover and gasket, to prevent fluid leakage into the atmosphere or short-circuiting within the same channel.
Spiral plate heat exchanger features:
①Excellent heat transfer efficiency. The bent helical channels and fixed distance columns enhance the turbulent flow state of the fluid, resulting in lower fluid resistance within the channel. This allows for increased design flow rates, contributing to a higher heat transfer coefficient. For water-water heat exchange, the heat transfer coefficient can reach 1.8 to 3.5 kW/(m²·°C).
② Self-cleaning function. When the fluid in the single channel passes through the sedimentation area inside the channel, the flow rate increases relatively, making it easy to flush away impurities.
③ The non-detachable structure offers excellent sealing performance, suitable for heat exchange of highly toxic, flammable, explosive, or valuable fluids. ④ The fluids in adjacent channels flow in a pure countercurrent manner, achieving a large logarithmic mean temperature difference, which is beneficial for heat transfer with small temperature differences and is suitable for recovering low-temperature heat energy.
⑤ The heat transfer area within a compact unit device can reach 150.
⑥ Due to the elastic free expansion of the helical channel itself, the temperature difference stress is minimal.
⑦ Low in cost. The volume of the spiral baffle heat exchanger is one-third of the traditional arch baffle heat exchanger for the same heat exchange area, reducing the material cost required.
