The electrical control of the DZB explosion-proof electric actuator for mining is designed according to the "95" Standard Design for Valve Electric Devices issued by the General Design and Planning Institute of the Ministry of Power. Its features include the ability to adapt to the improvement of power station automation levels and meet the needs of computer control. Therefore, up to four micro-switches for opening and closing can be added to the stroke control mechanism (midway switches can be added to the opening degree indicator upon ordering). It also features a 51-core terminal block.
Protection Class ExDII BT4, suitable for operating gate valves, stop valves, and other valves; IP65 protection class. Output torque range: 50-10,000 Nm; output speed range: 12-36 rpm. It is a driving device for valves to achieve opening, closing, or regulating control. The DZB mining explosion-proof electric actuator is applicable to gate valves, stop valves, diaphragm valves, plunger valves, throttle valves, sluice gates, etc. It can be used for both exposed stem valves and concealed stem valves.

The operation characteristics and utilization rates of the valve electric actuator depend on the type of valve, the operational specifications of the device, and the position of the valve on the pipeline or equipment.
An electric device typically consists of the following components:
Electric motor, featuring strong overload capacity, high starting torque, and low rotational inertia, suitable for short-term and intermittent operation. Reduction gear unit, used to reduce the output speed of the motor.
Actuator for controlling the travel, used to regulate and accurately control the opening and closing position of valves.
Torque limiter mechanism, used to adjust torque (or thrust) and ensure it does not exceed the predetermined value.
Manual/electric switching mechanism, for interlocked operations between manual and electric operation.
Openness indicator, used to display the position of the valve during the opening and closing process.
Torque operation
Torque output is a key parameter in selecting valve electric actuators; the electric actuator's torque output should be 1.2 to 1.5 times the valve's operating torque.
Bushing diameter
For multi-turn lift stem valves, if the electric actuator's allowable large stem diameter cannot pass through the stem of the valve it is paired with, it cannot be assembled into an electric valve. Therefore, the inner diameter of the hollow output shaft of the valve's electric actuator must be larger than the outer diameter of the lift stem valve's stem. For some types of quarter-turn valves and for the blind stem valves within multi-turn valves, although the stem diameter passage issue does not need to be considered, it is still important to carefully consider the stem diameter and keyway size during selection to ensure proper operation after assembly.
Output Speed
If the valve's opening and closing speed is too fast, water hammer phenomena may occur. Therefore, the appropriate opening and closing speed should be selected based on different operating conditions.
Operation Thrust
The main structure of the electric valve actuator has two types: one without a thrust plate, which directly outputs torque; the other with a thrust plate, where the output torque is converted into thrust through the valve stem nut in the thrust plate.
Output shaft revolution count
The number of rotations of the output shaft of the electric valve actuator is related to the nominal diameter of the valve, the screw pitch of the valve stem, and the number of threads. It should be calculated according to the formula M = H/ZS (where M is the total number of rotations the electric actuator should meet, H is the valve opening height, S is the pitch of the valve stem transmission thread, and Z is the number of threads on the valve stem).
