What are the precautions for using electrically adjustable valves?

Regulating valves are field instruments, requiring an environmental temperature range of -25 to 60°C and a relative humidity of ≤95%. If installed outdoors or in high-temperature environments, waterproofing and cooling measures should be taken. In areas with vibration sources, they should be kept away from the vibration source or additional vibration-proofing measures should be implemented.

Adjustable valves should generally be installed vertically; they can be tilted in special cases. In instances where the tilt angle is significant or the valve's own weight is excessive, additional support components should be added to protect the valve.

The pipeline for installing regulating valves should generally not be too high off the ground or floor. When the pipeline height exceeds 2 meters, it is advisable to set up a platform to facilitate the operation of the handwheel and to make maintenance easier.

Before installing the regulating valve, the pipeline should be cleaned to remove dirt and slag. After installation, to ensure that no impurities remain within the valve body, the valve should be cleaned again, i.e., all valves should be opened when introducing the medium to prevent impurities from becoming trapped. After using the handwheel mechanism, it should be returned to the original neutral position.

To ensure the production process can continue in the event of a valve failure or maintenance, a bypass piping system should be installed on the regulating valve.

Special attention should be given to ensure that the installation position of the regulating valve meets the requirements of the process.

The electrical installation of the electrically adjustable valve should comply with the construction requirements for electrical equipment. For explosion-proof products, installation should be carried out according to the "Electrical Equipment Installation Specification for Explosive Hazardous Places." If the on-site wiring uses SBH-type or other cables with six or eight cores and an outer diameter of approximately 11.3 mm, they should be installed with rubber insulation. During operation and maintenance, it is strictly prohibited to power on and open the cover for repair, or to pry on the explosion-proof face in explosive areas. Also, avoid damaging the explosion-proof face during disassembly and assembly. After inspection, the explosion-proof requirements should be restored to their original state.

⑺After disassembling and repairing the reducer of the executive mechanism, it is important to add lubricating oil. Generally, low-speed motors should not be disassembled, cleaned, or oiled. After assembly, also check if the valve position matches the valve opening indication.
