(1) Two main steel bars for the grounding body at the basic level are electrically continuous throughout, and are connected with the reinforcement in the pile foundation and the reinforcement inside the columns. Material specifications are in accordance with the design requirements of the drawings. The diameter of the cross-connected reinforcement is not less than 12mm.
(2) Double-sided welding should be used at the intersections of steel bars and at points of equipotential bonding, with a lap length of not less than 6D.
(3) The connection points between the total equipotential and grounding devices are not less than two.
(4) Potential equalization should be designed and reserved as shown in the diagram (areas with bathing facilities, vertical strong and weak electrical shafts, transformer substation rooms, telecommunication rooms,弱 electrical rooms, elevator machine rooms, pump rooms, boiler rooms, etc.).
(5) Reinforcement bars used as grounding devices and down conductors should have corresponding color coding.
Process Inspection Precautions
(1) Utilize two ≥φ16 diagonal rebars or four φ12 vertical rebars within the column, continuously welded to the roof as lightning rod down conductors.
(2) The use of equipotential bonding in bathrooms and lightning protection devices, with the beam extracted or utilized, or the column reinforcement connected to the grounding device (no use of down conductors).
(3) Potential grounding terminals from the grounding device are led to the elevator machine room and power and signal cable wells, extending to each floor (not using down lead lines) and electrically connected to the main steel reinforcement of the structure at each floor.
(4) Buildings classified as Category II and III lightning protection with rolling sphere radii (45m for Category II, 60m for Category III), for objects on the horizontal exterior walls, when the corresponding rolling sphere radius sphere descends vertically from the perimeter of the roof's lightning rod to the ground and contacts an object on the exterior wall, appropriate lightning protection measures should be implemented.
(5) Buildings over 60 meters tall in categories 2 and 3 should have their upper sections, which account for 20% of the height and exceed 60 meters, protected against side lightning strikes: Use the reinforced steel of the hoop beam connected to the lightning protection system to lead flat steel to the metal windows and railings on the outer wall, for grounding purposes of doors, windows, and railings.
