Martin Belt Sweeper

The Function of the Sweeper:

1. Sweepers are one of the main components of belt conveyors. To prevent dust during material transportation and meet the requirements of the production process, most of the materials conveyed need to maintain a certain moisture content. For instance, the moisture content of coal conveyer belts in many power plants is around 12%. This inevitably causes the wet materials to adhere to the belt. If not cleaned, they will continuously fall off upon collision with the return roller during the belt's operation.

2. Poor sweeping performance can lead to the following defects:

The accumulation of material under the belt is excessive, leading to a poor on-site environment, harming the health of on-site personnel, increasing the workload for maintenance staff, and easily causing accidental injuries to on-site personnel.

Due to the accumulation of material on the belt, it causes friction between the return idler and roller with the belt, greatly reducing the service life of the belt, related rollers, and return idler, leading to significant cost consumption.

◆Due to excessive material spillage, the efficiency of belt transportation is reduced.
