ExtrusionFiberglass Cable TraysThe production process involves immersing unwound glass fiber and other continuous reinforcing materials, polyester, flame-retardant felt, etc., into a liquid, and then forming them through a cable tray mold. The material cures and solidifies at high temperatures inside the mold before being continuously ejected. This glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) cable tray boasts strong corrosion resistance, resistance to aging, and the ability to withstand heavy acids, alkalis, and high humidity. It also features a rational mechanical structure, high strength, excellent corrosion resistance, flame retardancy, lightweight, and good insulation properties. Its application range and environmental temperature tolerance are extensive, and its service life is 5-6 times longer than that of steel cable trays. The installation distance for one ton of GRP cable tray is 1.5 times that of a steel cable tray of the same specifications and weight, and its performance-to-price ratio is one-third of steel cable trays. Thus, the lightweight and low-cost GRP cable tray can save engineering investment, with features such as simple construction, flexible cabling, standardized installation, and attractive appearance. Its successful development has opened up a new path for the assembly of cable trays in China.
