Innovative Research Directions for Color Steel Plates
Current research on color steel plates focuses on three directions: First, the application of nanomaterials, which achieves self-cleaning and air-purifying functions by adding titanium dioxide nanoparticles to the coating; second, 3D printing technology, which can manufacture complex-shaped color steel components to meet personalized architectural needs; third, integration of phase change materials (PCM), enabling color steel plates to have temperature regulation capabilities and reduce building energy consumption. A team from a certain university has developed graphene-enhanced color steel plates, with a tensile strength increased by 40%, which are expected to be applied in multi-story buildings.
