Industrial Chain Collaborative Innovation Model
The color coated steel plate industry chain is forming a deep collaborative innovation pattern. Upstream steel and paint companies are establishing joint laboratories, such as the waterborne carbon paint developed in collaboration between Baosteel and PPG Industries, which reduces VOC emissions from 200g/L to 30g/L while maintaining the coating's weather resistance. Midstream color coated steel plate companies and equipment manufacturers are conducting technical breakthroughs, like the magnetic levitation roller coater co-developed by Shandong Guanzhou and Germany's Hennig Company, which achieves ±0.5μm precision in coating thickness control, an improvement over traditional equipment. Downstream application companies are involved in standard setting, with Haier Group leading the drafting of the QB/T 5555-2020 "Color Coated Steel Plate for Home Appliances" industry standard, incorporating performance, anti-fingerprint resistance, and other indicators as mandatory requirements.
