Re Vulcanization Oven
Usage: The temperature for secondary vulcanization of rubber varies depending on the material, as does the time for constant temperature heating. For example, NR generally does not use two-stage sulfur addition due to its high likelihood of vulcanization reversal. If necessary, it is recommended to be around 100℃ for about 2 hours; for SBR, BR, typically use 100-120℃ for 1-2 hours; for NBR, EPDM (vulcanization), generally use 140-150℃ for 2-4 hours; for EPDM (peroxide), generally use 150-160℃ for 2-4 hours; for Silicone, typically use 200-230℃ for 4-8 hours; for FKM, generally use 200-230℃ for 8-12 hours. Therefore, the temperature for secondary vulcanization of rubber products usually ranges from 100℃ to 300℃.
The vulcanization process is primarily used to enhance the properties of rubber products. Before vulcanization, rubber lacks cross-linking between its molecules, resulting in poor physical and mechanical properties and limited practical value. Upon the addition of vulcanizing agents and subsequent heat treatment or other methods, cross-linking occurs between rubber molecules, forming a three-dimensional network structure, thereby significantly improving its performance.
