To ensure a high yield rate, stricter requirements are placed on the entire chip processing process and equipment. During the exposure process, due to the limited area of a single exposure by the exposure system, incomplete exposure chips may be produced. In the process, to monitor the process quality, such non-complete chips need to be marked.
Traditional marking methods mainly use physical ink dots to identify incomplete chips, with the main steps being: after the chip completes the process technology and testing, the silicon wafer is placed into the physical ink dot equipment, the dedicated program is input, and the marking process for the incomplete chip particles is performed. Once the marking is complete, the silicon wafer is placed into an oven for the ink dot drying operation.
