Manual ventilation butterfly valve is a type of butterfly valve that can be opened and closed manually, primarily used for ventilation and regulating gas flow. It has a simple structure, mainly composed of the valve body, valve stem, and butterfly plate. The butterfly plate rotates around its own axis within the valve body, thereby achieving the function of opening and closing.
Structural Features
Manual ventilation butterfly valves are made of steel plate welding, featuring compact structure, light weight, and easy installation. They have no rods or bolts inside, ensuring reliable operation and long service life, unaffected by the medium flow direction. The valve body is equipped with oil seal rings, with no visible gaps between the sealing pairs, resulting in low leakage rate and effectively preventing sticking due to thermal expansion and contraction.
Application Scenario
Manually operated ventilation butterfly valves are widely used in industrial pipelines of metallurgy, petrochemicals, power, construction materials, and mining industries for controlling or regulating gas flow. They are suitable for media temperatures ranging from -30℃ to 350℃ and are applicable to cold and hot air, flue gas, and other media. Due to their simple structure, flexible operation, and relatively low price, they are particularly suitable for ventilation and environmental protection projects that require adjustment of air volume.
Installation and Maintenance
When installing a manual ventilation butterfly valve, the following points should be noted:
Installation Location: Ensure that the installation location, height, and directional flow of进出口 meet design specifications. The direction of medium flow should align with the arrow direction indicated on the valve body.
Inspection: Prior to installation, a visual inspection is required to ensure the valve conforms to national standards. For valves with operating pressures exceeding 1.0 MPa, strength and tightness tests must be conducted before installation; use is permitted only upon passing the tests.
