Coal briquette binder (also known as coal binder, coal adhesive, coal composite binder, etc.) is a binder that consolidates and strengthens powdered fuels like coal dust, facilitating the molding into solid blocks; it ensures the briquettes maintain specific shape and properties after molding. It is a powdered or liquid auxiliary material for briquettes that guarantees the briquettes' quality and is primarily used in the briquette processing process as an auxiliary agent. Coal briquette binder is a crucial auxiliary material that determines the quality of the briquettes.
Coal briquette binder is formed through complex chemical reactions involving inorganic substances and various organic chemical raw materials. When mixed with powdered coal, it quickly forms a needle-like network structure, which endows the coal briquettes with high cold and heat mechanical strength and thermal stability; excellent moisture and water resistance, as well as strong immersion resistance; high combustion value when used in the furnace, with high heat intensity after combustion, low breakage rate upon falling, and no ash or pollution, with simple operation.
Application Scope
1. Cold-press molding. Add the powdered coal binder to the well-mixed coal material, then press it into shape on a briquette molding machine; the molding process is carried out at room temperature without the need for heating.
2. Pellet Formation: Mix the powdered coal with binder solution thoroughly and uniformly, then shape it into pellets using a disc pelletizer or a drum pelletizer.
Application Fields
Coal briquetting binder is widely used in industries such as chemicals, fertilizers, glass, building materials, metallurgy, coal gas, and civil industries for producing coal briquettes for civil or industrial fuel, coal briquettes for gasification, and metallurgical coal briquettes (pellets). It can process waste materials and coal powder from coal mining and metallurgical industries into coal briquettes.
