Description

Geotextiles, also known as geotextile fabrics, are permeable synthetic fiber-based engineered materials made through needling or weaving. They are categorized into woven geotextiles and nonwoven filament geotextiles.

Features

Effect

Isolation

Utilize needle-punched polyester short fiber geotextiles to isolate construction materials with varying physical properties (particle size, distribution, consistency, and density, etc.), such as soil and sand, soil and concrete, etc. This ensures that materials do not lose or mix, maintaining their overall structure and function, thereby enhancing the load-bearing capacity of the structure.

Filtering (Anti-Filtering)

When water flows from fine-grained soil layers into coarse-grained soil layers, utilize the good air and water permeability of polyester needle-punched geotextile to allow water passage while effectively intercepting soil particles, fine sand, small stone materials, etc., to maintain the stability of water and soil engineering.

Drainage

Polyester short fiber needle-punched geotextile has excellent drainage properties, forming drainage channels within the soil mass to expel excess liquids and gases from the soil structure.

Reinforcement

Utilize polyester short fiber needle-punched geotextile to enhance the tensile and deformation resistance of soil, thereby improving the stability of the building structure and soil quality.

Application Fields

(1) Reinforcement for soil-retaining wall backfill or used for anchoring retaining wall panels. Construct encasement-type retaining walls or bridge abutments.

(2) Reinforce flexible road surfaces, repair cracks in the road, and prevent reflective cracking of the pavement.

(3) Enhance the stability of crushed stone slopes and reinforced soil, preventing soil and water erosion and frost damage to the soil mass during low temperatures.

(4) Separation layer between ballast and subgrade, or between subgrade and soft foundation.

(5) Separation layer between backfilled soil, rock or material piles and foundation, as well as between different frozen soil layers. Anti-filtering and reinforcement functions.

(6) Filter layers in the upstream embankment face of ash or tailings dams, and in the drainage system of backfill soil in retaining walls.

(7) Filter layer around the drainage pipe or around the gravels drainage trench.

(8) Filter layers for water wells, pressure-reducing wells, or inclined pressure pipes in hydraulic engineering.

(9) Soil separation layers for road, airport, railway ballast, and artificial masonry between foundations.

(10) Internal vertical or horizontal drainage of embankments, embedded in soil to dissipate the pressure of void water.

Drainage behind or beneath the concrete facing in earth dams or embankments.

(12) Exclude seepage around tunnels to alleviate the external water pressure on the lining and seepage around all buildings.

(13) Drainage for artificial filled land foundation sports ground foundation.

(14) Used to reinforce soft soil foundations in road projects (including temporary roads), railways, embankments, earth and rock dams, airports, sports fields, etc.
