Characteristics and Issues of Landscape Water Quality Generally, the pollution in landscape water has many unique characteristics, differing significantly from domestic wastewater, swimming pool water, etc. For example, artificial lakes commonly found in landscape water are mostly completely enclosed, unnatural lakes with extremely low self-purification abilities. Moreover, due to water source limitations, the primary source of replenishment for artificial lakes is often reclaimed water, which has water quality standards vastly different from those required for landscape water. This often results in excessive levels of nitrogen, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus, further exacerbating water pollution. For the treatment of landscape water, the challenge lies in the large volume of water, as there are numerous artificial lakes with tens of thousands of tons of water, and urban large parks and landscape waterways have at least hundreds of thousands to millions of tons of water. If the methods of wastewater treatment or swimming pool water treatment are copied, the general treatment investment per ton of water is over 300 USD, and for 10,000 tons, it would require over 3 million USD. This cost is prohibitive for landscape water treatment, making it difficult for users to bear. Therefore, for the treatment of landscape water, it is necessary to not only solve the technical challenges but also significantly reduce the treatment costs. This is a task of great difficulty.
