· Main IngredientsTypically containing silicon dioxide (SiO₂), aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃), boron oxide (B₂O₃), and sodium oxide (Na₂O). The approximate content range of each component is: SiO₂ 50% - 70%, Al₂O₃ 10% - 20%, B₂O₃ 5% - 15%, Na₂O 5% - 10%. These components interact to provide the glass with excellent chemical stability and biocompatibility.
Acid and alkali resistance: Offers good resistance to acidity and alkalinity. Generally, in an acidic or alkaline environment with a pH range of 2 to 10, its corrosion rate is low, and the annual corrosion amount is typically less than 0.1mg/cm². This allows it to maintain stability in the complex chemical environment of the mouth, and it is not easily eroded by acidic or alkaline substances in saliva or food.
· DensityThe density is typically between 2.2 - 2.5 g/cm³, closely resembling that of natural teeth. This ensures that dental veneers do not cause discomfort due to excessive or insufficient weight after installation, and also aids in their stable attachment within the mouth.
· HardnessThe Vickers hardness typically ranges from 500 to 700HV. This level of hardness is sufficient for everyday chewing needs, preventing noticeable wear or scratches, thus ensuring the longevity and aesthetic appeal of the coating.
· Modulus of ElasticityThe modulus of elasticity is approximately 70 - 90 GPa, which has a certain degree of matching with that of natural teeth. It can buffer the pressure generated during chewing to some extent, reducing damage to the teeth and surrounding tissues.
Thermal Expansion CoefficientThe coefficient of thermal expansion is approximately (8 - 12)×10⁻⁶/°C. Similar to the thermal expansion coefficient of teeth, it can tightly bond with teeth under temperature changes in the mouth, and is less prone to issues like veneer detachment or gaps due to thermal expansion and contraction.
TransmittanceTransmittance can reach 80% - 90% and above, featuring excellent optical properties. It can effectively mimic the transparency and luster of natural teeth, achieving a natural and aesthetically pleasing repair effect.
