Lubricant Electric Heater
Lubricating Oil Circulating Electric Heating Unit
I. Overview of Electric Oil Heater
The internal lubrication of the compressor unit employs a splash method, which effectively provides good lubrication during normal operation. However, after a prolonged shutdown in winter (or below 15°C operating conditions), the oil's viscosity increases and its fluidity decreases. Upon restarting the unit, the oil may not promptly lubricate the friction pairs reliably, potentially leading to mechanical failures such as scoring or burning. To avoid this, it is necessary to repeatedly start the unit (≥5 times) to preheat the entire unit and ensure the friction pairs are adequately lubricated. This process is cumbersome and time-consuming, adding to the workload for the on-site personnel. Lubrication of the friction pairs is often done by feel, which can still lead to mechanical failures if not properly handled. In response to the on-site conditions, our company, after reviewing relevant foreign heating system documents, has summarized the strengths and weaknesses of similar products and collaborated with a professional factory to develop and design this industrial lubricant circulation heating system tailored to our actual working environment. According to technical department data, the wear of transmission gears and bearings increases by 10-12 times when operating in -5°C oil compared to 35°C oil.
Section II: Advantages of the Electric Heating System for Lubricating Oil:
Suitable for operation in flammable and explosive environments, with a safety protection level not lower than d2BT4 (can be designed as non-explosive upon customer's request).
2. Operates effectively in cold weather conditions with rapid heating and pre-lubrication capabilities, enabling timely start-up of the engine or machinery.
3. Save and clean engine or working machine lubricants
4. Simple operation and fuel-efficient
5. Engine or working machine maintains a constant operating temperature.
6. Low maintenance
7. Comprehensive automatic protection
8. Compact structure, easy to install.
Section 3: Working Principle of Electric Oil Heater
The system draws lubricating oil from the oil reservoir using an oil pump, then sends it to an electrically heated oil tank for heating. After heating, the lubricating oil passes through an oil filter for filtration. The clean, heated, and filtered oil is then supplied through pipes to pre-lubricate or continuously lubricate various friction pairs in the engine or working machine.
This system is equipped with automatic control, emergency shutdown, and electrical automatic protection, with indicator lights displaying the overall operational status of the system.
