Distillation Tower

Tower equipment comes in a variety of types, with the distillation tower being a tower-type gas-liquid contact device used for distillation. There are two main types: plate towers and packed towers. Comparing the two is a complex issue involving many factors. Selection should consider the material properties, operating conditions, performance of the tower equipment, as well as manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance of the tower equipment. The distillation principle of the equipment involves part-gasification of the liquid mixed product, utilizing the different volatility characteristics of its components to achieve separation. The tower kettle contains liquid, while the top of the tower releases gas.
The principle of the equipment is not limited to purifying alcohol. Its primary function is to separate mixed liquids, utilizing the principle that different liquids have different properties under varying conditions, such as different temperatures and volatilities (boiling points), to achieve liquid separation and purification. It is mainly divided into plate towers and membrane towers. Plate towers are more common, and their structure can be divided into three parts: plates, a reboiler, and a condenser.
