Vinyl High-Temperature Glass Flake Coating, Vinyl Medium-Temperature Glass Flake Coating
Glass flake mortar is crucial in flue gas desulfurization plants, where sulfur dioxide and other corrosive gases severely attack the substrate. Our company has introduced and developed the HW series glass flake mortar, which effectively addresses this issue. It is applied in anti-corrosion projects for flue gas desulfurization in power plants, electrostatic precipitators, petrochemicals, metallurgy, environmental protection, and other industries.

Overview of Glass Flake Coatings:
Glass flake mortar is highly susceptible to corrosion by sulfur dioxide and other corrosive gases in flue gas desulfurization units. Our company's HW series glass flake mortar, which we have introduced and developed, effectively addresses this issue. It is now widely used in flue gas desulfurization units in power plants, electrostatic precipitators, as well as in anti-corrosion projects in the petrochemical, metallurgical, and environmental protection industries.
Glass Flake Mortar Construction Technique:
1. Provide scaffolding customized to the construction site requirements, ensuring compliance with construction conditions. 2. Key construction points: construction temperature should be between 15-20 degrees. Perform the ground level first, then the middle level, and finally the surface level during construction operations.
3. First, perform sandblasting to remove rust; then, apply the primer within 12 hours after rust removal. After the primer dries, proceed with the glass flake mortar application. The glass flake mortar is applied using a trowel method, with a single coat thickness of approximately 1mm. Typically, it is completed in two layers, with the second layer applied after the first layer is partially dry. (Generally, the interval is) When applying, hold the trowel at a certain angle to the base material, push and spread along the sharp angle of the trowel, and try to expel any air bubbles from the mortar and base. Apply in one direction without piling or spreading the material.
4. Reinforced with glass fiber mesh in local areas, such as tensile members,阴阳 corners, and the entire weld joint, to ensure the quality of the corrosion-resistant coating for these parts.
5. Apply topcoat paint.
6 Clean the site, dismantle construction tools, and wait for the overall drying of the glass flake mortar, which typically takes 3-5 days. After this period, the construction item is ready for use!
Glass Flake Mortar Features:
Glass flake mortars boast outstanding chemical resistance, gas impermeability, good thermal stability, and mechanical properties. They are resistant to organic solvents and oxidizers, possess anti-seepage, wear resistance, long service life, and ease of application characteristics. Applications of glass flake coatings:
1. Flue gas desulfurization equipment; this is one of the successful application areas for thick-film lining with glass flake coating.
2. Linings for oil storage tanks, a successful application of glass flake coating film linings.
3. Marine Engineering.
4. Application in Concrete Structures. Glass flake coatings are suitable for corrosion prevention on floors, walls, ceilings, drainages, and large wastewater ponds, swimming pools, and marine aquaculture in chemical and food factories.
5. Applications in Various Devices. Glass flake coatings can be used for corrosion prevention in various storage tanks, chemical reactions, mixing, and separation processes, as well as in towers and pipelines in the chemical industry.
6. Municipal engineering and architectural corrosion prevention.
7. Lining for various types of food containers.
8. Lining for containers in the electronics industry and various pharmaceuticals.
9. Ship corrosion prevention - internal and external.
