Construction
1. Insulated facilities and pipelines must be leak-free, dry on the surface, free of oil and rust. Under citrus conditions, appropriate coatings can be applied for anti-corrosion purposes.
2. To minimize heat loss, all joints of the boards and felt must be tightly sealed. When using multi-layer insulation, the cross joints should be staggered to prevent the formation of thermal bridges. In refrigeration, cold bridges must be strictly avoided.
3. Rock wool products are used for exterior insulation, or metal or plastic casings should be used in areas prone to mechanical wear. Pay attention to the sealing of joints and seams, and add a rubber seal if necessary. The overlapping part of the wrapping layer should not be less than 100mm.
4. For cold preservation, always add a moisture-proof layer on the cold preservation surface. In extremely low temperatures, use resin-free rock wool for insulation, and the moisture-proof layer must also be fire-resistant.
5. When the temperature exceeds 200°C, the insulation must be protected with an appropriate outer covering to prevent any expansion from altering the thickness and density.
6. For rock wool insulation used on equipment with large diameters or flat walls, thermal fasteners should be added when the temperature exceeds 200°C (spaced at 400mm intervals), and the outer jacket must be tightly adhered.
