Water-repellent rock wool board is made from basalt and other natural ores, which are melted at high temperatures to form fibers, then mixed with a suitable binder and solidified through processing. It is widely used in industries such as shipbuilding, metallurgy, power, and construction, offering excellent thermal insulation and soundproofing properties. The board is utilized in vehicles, mobile equipment, cold storage projects, air conditioning pipelines, and for thermal insulation and fire prevention in damp environments, as well as in applications with specific moisture-proof requirements.

Construction
1. Insulated facilities and pipelines should be leak-free, dry on the surface, free of grease and rust. Under citrus conditions, appropriate coatings can be applied for anti-corrosion purposes.
2. To minimize heat loss, all joints of the boards and felt must be tightly sealed. When using multi-layer insulation, the cross joints should be staggered to prevent the formation of thermal bridges. In refrigeration, cold bridges must be strictly avoided.
3. Rock wool products are used for outdoor insulation, and metal or plastic sheathing should be used in areas prone to mechanical wear. Pay attention to sealing the joints and seams, and add a rubber sealant if necessary. The overlapping part of the wrapping layer should not be less than 100mm.
4. For refrigeration purposes, a moisture-proof layer must be added to the refrigerating surface. In extremely low temperatures, use non-resin rock wool for insulation, and the moisture-proof layer must also be fire-resistant.
5. When the temperature exceeds 200°C, appropriate external insulation must be added to maintain the thermal retention. This ensures that any potential expansion will not alter the thickness or density.
6. For rock wool insulation products used on equipment with large diameters or flat walls, thermal insulation nails should be added when the temperature exceeds 200°C (with an interval of 400mm), and the external protection should be tightly adhered.
7. When the thermal preservation object is vertically positioned and has a considerable height, the insulation layer must have positioning pins or support rings spaced no more than 3 meters apart to prevent the insulation material from sliding down during vibrations.
8. Outdoor thermal insulation and cooling construction should not be carried out during rain. Otherwise, rain protection measures should be taken.
