Construction
1. Insulated facilities and pipelines must be leak-free, dry on the surface, free of oil and rust. Under certain conditions, such as citrus, appropriate coatings can be applied for anti-corrosion purposes.
2. To minimize heat loss, all joints of the panels and felt must be tightly sealed. When using multi-layer insulation, the diagonal intersections of the cross seams should be staggered to avoid creating heat bridges. In refrigeration, cold bridges must be completely eliminated.
3. Rock wool products are used for exterior insulation, or metal or plastic casings should be used in areas prone to mechanical wear. Pay attention to the sealing of joints and seams, and add rubber sealing strips if necessary. The overlapping part of the wrapping layer should not be less than 100mm.
4. For cold storage, it's essential to add a moisture-proof layer to the insulating surface. In extremely low temperatures, use resin-free rock wool for insulation, and the moisture-proof layer must also be fire-resistant.
5. When the temperature exceeds 200°C, appropriate external insulation must be added to maintain the heat preservation. This ensures that any potential expansion will not alter the thickness or density.
6. For rock wool insulation on large diameter or flat wall equipment, thermal anchors should be added when the temperature exceeds 200°C (spacing 400mm), and the outer protective layer should be tightly attached.
7. When the insulated object is vertically positioned and has a considerable height, the insulation must have positioning pins or support rings at intervals not exceeding 3 meters to prevent the insulation material from sliding down during vibration.
8. Outdoor thermal insulation and cold preservation work should not be carried out during rain, otherwise, rain protection measures should be taken.
