Construction Method for Explosion-Proof Wall
1. Installation and securing of the keel
(1) Level and repair uneven ground, roof, and wall surfaces where dragon frame installation is required.
(2) Mark the location of the joists on the ground and roof according to the design, and indicate the positions of doors, windows, and pipe openings.
(3) Secure the studs using chemical bolts (or at the pre-bolted welding points), with a maximum spacing of ≤1200mm between the chemical bolts (welding pre-bolted points).
(4) Explosion-proof wall method one: 1200*1200 spacing between horizontal and vertical ribbed steel, the ribbed steel is welded back-to-back, the thermal insulation type is filled with rock wool insulation board, and the thickness is made according to the rib standard.
Method Two for Explosion-Proof Wall: The spacing between horizontal and vertical rib steel is 407*407. The ribs can be directly installed. Insulation type requires filling with rock wool insulation board, with thickness following the rib standard.
When cutting joists, pay attention to keeping the vertical joist openings aligned and do not invert them from top to bottom to ensure the openings are on the same horizontal plane.
(5) Use a plumb bob to correct the verticality of the upright joists.
(6) Install reinforcing dragons at the ends of door and window frames, wall junctions, and on both sides of larger openings.
(7) Place additional support objects at the location of the suspended equipment for secure installation.
(8) Install concealed piping and outlets, as well as internal fillings (as per design requirements, such as rock wool). If drilling holes in the vertical studs is necessary, the hole diameter must not exceed half the width of the stud.
(9) Inspect the size and verticality of the rib frame, as well as its integrity and stability; installation of the explosion-proof board may only proceed upon passing.
2. Explosion-proof plate installation and fastening
(1) Based on design drawings and actual construction conditions, the panels are cut and drilled.现场 chamfering is performed as necessary. The two long sides of the explosion-proof panel have been chamfered. However, when the wall exceeds 2400mm in height, the short sides of the horizontal joints on the explosion-proof panel must be chamfered on-site to better handle the joints.
(2) Mark the fixing points for self-tapping screws on the explosion-proof panel surface with a line, and pre-drill countersunk holes (1mm to 2mm larger in diameter than the head of the self-tapping screws). Self-tapping screw spacing: 150-300mm (double rows of self-tapping screws are required for the edge joists installed back-to-back).
(3) During installation, it is generally recommended to lay the boards vertically, with the long edges of the boards fixed to the vertical studs; when joining the boards, they should be naturally positioned close together without forcing them into place; the seams on both sides of the wall should be staggered, not aligned on the same stud.
(4) When fixing the explosion-proof plate, pre-drill holes should be made between the plate and the joist. The explosion-proof plate should be secured with self-tapping screws, and it should be fastened from the center of the plate towards the edges. All screw heads should be countersunk into the plate and pass through the joist.
