Construction Method for Explosion-Proof Wall
1. Rafter installation and stabilization
(1) Level and repair uneven ground, roof, and wall surfaces where dragon frame installation is required.
(2) Mark the location of the joists on the ground and roof according to the design, and indicate the positions of doors, windows, and pipe openings.
(3) Secure the rafters with chemical bolts (or at the pre-bolted welding locations), with the spacing between chemical bolts (welded pre-bolts) not exceeding 1200mm.
(4) Method for explosion-proof wall: The spacing between horizontal and vertical steel channel beams is 1200*1200mm. The steel channel beams are welded back-to-back, with thermal insulation boards filled inside the保温型, thickness according to the standard of the steel channel.
Method Two: The spacing between the horizontal and vertical steel channels is 407*407. The channels can be directly installed. For thermal insulation models, rock wool thermal insulation boards should be filled, with thickness in accordance with the standard of the channels.
When cutting the rafters, pay attention to keeping the opening direction of the vertical rafters consistent; do not invert the top and bottom to ensure that the holes in the vertical rafters are on the same horizontal plane.
(5) Use a plumb bob to adjust the verticality of the upright joists.
(6) Install reinforcing rods at the ends of window and door frames, at the junctions of walls, and on both sides of larger openings.
(7) Position additional support objects at the location of the suspended equipment for secure fixation.
(8) Install concealed piping and outlets, as well as internal fillings (as per design requirements, such as rock wool). If holes need to be drilled in the vertical joists, the diameter of the holes must not exceed half the width of the joists.
(9) Inspect the size and verticality of the keel frame, as well as its integrity and stability; installation of the explosion-proof panel can only proceed upon passing inspection.
2. Installation and Mounting of Explosion-Proof Plates
(1) Based on design drawings and actual construction conditions, cut and drill the panels.现场 chamfer as needed. The two long sides of the explosion-proof panels have been chamfered. However, when the wall height exceeds 2400mm, the short sides of the horizontal joints on the explosion-proof panels must be chamfered on-site to better handle the joints.
(2) Mark the fixing points for self-tapping screws on the explosion-proof panel and pre-drill recessed holes (1mm to 2mm larger in diameter than the self-tapping screw heads). The spacing between self-tapping screws is 150-300mm (for edge joists, double rows of self-tapping screws are required for back-to-back fixing).
(3) During installation, it is generally recommended to lay the boards vertically, with the long edges of the boards secured to the vertical studs. When joining the boards, they should be naturally aligned without forcing them into place; the seams on both sides of the wall should be staggered, not aligned on the same stud.
(4) When fixing the explosion-proof panel, pre-drill holes should be made in the panel and the joists. The explosion-proof panel should be secured with self-tapping screws. When securing, start from the center of the panel and work towards the edges. All screw heads should be countersunk into the panel and pass through the joists.
