Patterned sheet, also known as printed color steel sheet, refers to the process of printing various patterns onto steel plates through technical means on various base plates.
The substrate can be made of cold rolled, electro galvanized, hot dipped galvanized, or aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets. The material with suitable mechanical properties should be selected according to the specific application.
Cold-rolled base sheets are color coated steel sheets produced from cold-rolled base sheets, which have limited corrosion resistance as any minor scratch on the surface coating will quickly result in red rust, affecting usage. The color coating of this base sheet is suitable for making internal parts of household appliances or for low-height temporary fencing.
Electroplated zinc-coated steel sheets offer superior corrosion resistance compared to cold-rolled coated sheets, thanks to the protective zinc layer. With a thin zinc layer (typically 20g/m2), they exhibit better processing properties than hot-dip galvanized sheets. When manufacturing products and components that require corrosion resistance, consider using electroplated zinc-coated steel sheets as the base for colored coated plates. This includes internal and external components of air conditioners, washing machine or refrigerator casings; interior decorative walls, furniture, lighting fixtures, signs, and more.
Galvanized aluminum steel sheets, since their introduction to the global market in the 1970s, have become popular for roofing and wall applications. The hot-dipped alloy coating of these sheets contains 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon, effectively combining the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of aluminum and the sacrificial protective abilities of zinc against cuts and interruptions. Under similar environmental conditions, the lifespan of a steel sheet with the same coating thickness as galvanized steel is approximately four times that of galvanized steel. Galvanized aluminum steel sheets are a product with an excellent price-performance ratio, offering significantly lower costs compared to stainless steel or aluminum sheets, while also featuring an attractive, lustrous light silver-gray finish.
