Patterned steel sheet, also known as printed color steel sheet, refers to the process of printing various patterns onto steel plates using technical methods on various base plates.
The substrate can be cold-rolled, electro-galvanized, hot-dip galvanized, or aluminum-zinc coated steel, and the appropriate material with suitable mechanical properties should be selected based on the specific application.
Cold-rolled base plates, produced from cold-rolled base plates, have limited corrosion resistance. Any minor scratch on the surface coating will quickly lead to red rust, affecting usability. The colored coating of this base plate is suitable for making internal parts of household appliances or for low-height temporary barriers.
Electroplated zinc-coated steel sheets offer superior corrosion resistance compared to cold rolled coated sheets, thanks to the protective zinc layer. With a thin zinc layer (typically 20g/m²), their processing properties are superior to hot dipped zinc. When manufacturing products and components that require high corrosion resistance, consider using electroplated zinc steel as the base for coated sheets. This includes components for air conditioners, both interior and exterior, washing machine or refrigerator casings; interior decorative walls, furniture, lighting equipment, signs, and more.
Galvanized aluminum steel sheets, since their introduction to the global market in the 1970s, have become a popular choice for roofing and walling steel sheets. The hot-dip alloy coating of galvanized aluminum steel sheets contains 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc, and 1.5% silicon, effectively combining the strengths of steel with the corrosion resistance of aluminum and the sacrificial protective ability of zinc against cuts and gaps. Under similar conditions, the lifespan of steel sheets with the same coating thickness as galvanized steel sheets is about four times longer. Galvanized aluminum steel sheets offer an excellent price-performance ratio, with costs significantly lower than stainless steel or aluminum sheets, and they boast an attractive, light silver-gray luster.
