Coated Sheets, also known as Organic Coated Sheets or Pre-Painted Steel Coils, are made by applying or lamination various organic coatings or plastic films onto the surface of metal coils (cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, aluminum-coated steel, high-aluminum alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.). As these sheets are pre-coated at the metallurgical plant, they are ready for direct processing into products by the user, hence also referred to as pre-painted coils.
Coated plates combine the benefits of both organic polymers and steel plates, offering the excellent coloring, molding, corrosion resistance, and decorative properties of organic polymers, along with the high strength and ease of processing of steel plates, making them easy to cut, bend, stamp, and weld. This results in products made from organic coated steel plates that possess superior practicality, aesthetics, workability, and durability. There are numerous types of coated plates, exceeding 600 varieties, yet there is no unified classification method due to the difficulty in finding a distinguishing standard among the diverse types. Additionally, each manufacturer has its unique equipment and processes, leading to a wide range of product types. Classification is currently done according to general customs.

Categorized by substrate usage, common substrates for organic coated steel plates include cold rolled steel, hot-dipped galvanized steel, electro-galvanized steel, alloy steel, zinc-aluminum plated steel, electro-galvanized alloy steel, tin-plated steel, chrome-plated steel, and aluminum plates, etc.
2. Categorized by processing techniques, organic coated steel sheets are produced via different coating methods such as roller coating, spray coating, powder coating, lamination, and printing. Depending on the number of coatings, there are single-coat-and-bake, double-coat-and-bake, triple-coat-and-bake, and quadruple-coat-and-bake processes. 3. Categorized by type of paint, typically classified by paints used for organic coatings, including polyvinyl chloride coated steel plates, polyester coated steel plates, silicone polyester coated steel plates, etc.

Categorized by coating performance, including high weather-resistant coating panels, high-temperature-resistant coating panels, self-extinguishing coating panels, sterilization coating panels, non-stick snow coating panels, fingerprint-resistant coating panels, and self-lubricating coating panels, among others.
5. Categorized by special coatings and applications, such as epoxy zinc-rich coatings, organic coated steel sheets based on cold-rolled steel plates, velvet-coated steel sheets, and some special machine-coated sandwich panels, like wood film panels, core panels, and vibration-damping panels, etc.
