How to choose stamping oil?
According to the material to be stamped, silicon steel sheet is a relatively easy-to-cut material, most requiring the oil film to dry quickly after stamping. Additionally, to prevent burr formation on the stamped products and extend die life, it's crucial to choose a stamping oil with high viscosity, short drying time, and good rust prevention without producing carbon after annealing.
Carbon steel mainly selects the appropriate viscosity of stamping oil based on the ease of processing.
2. Stainless steel sheets tend to exhibit work hardening easily, necessitating the use of high oil film strength and good sintering resistance lubricants. The lubricant should have high viscosity and excellent cooling properties.
3. Aluminum and aluminum alloys cannot be used with stamping oils containing chlorine or sulfur additives; they require neutral pH stamping oils.
4. Copper and copper alloys must not use stamping oils containing sulfur; instead, opt for stamping oils with good oiliness and lubricity.
5. Tinplate with non-chloride stamping oil, to prevent white rust.

Cooling properties of stamping oil
Many factors cause heat generation in stamping processing, such as frictional heat between molds and materials and heat from plastic deformation of the material, all of which manifest as processing heat. Particularly when processing complex-shaped parts or materials with high resistance to plastic deformation, more heat is produced. If this heat is not removed or suppressed during prolonged continuous processing, it accumulates on the mold, causing the mold temperature to rise continuously, further expanding the mold, and reducing the gap between the punch and die. This leads to increased friction and stress on the material, resulting in localized high temperatures, which can cause lubrication film破裂, leading to issues like sintering, scratches, and fractures. In such cases, using water-soluble stamping agents can suppress the generated heat, especially in high-speed continuous operation and high-speed continuous automated processing fields, as well as in deep drawing of stainless steel or high-speed processing of cans, where cooling agents with good water solubility are commonly used.
