United Coating Company actively develops equipment and processes for nickel mesh spray coating required for hydrogen production technology.
It is a recognized ideal energy source with characteristics of high efficiency and cleanliness. Electrolytic water hydrogen production technology is an important method for industrial hydrogen production. Traditional hydrogen production machines use nickel mesh as the hydrogen evolution cathode. To increase the specific surface area of the nickel mesh, technicians first spray nickel aluminum alloy on the surface of the nickel mesh, then treat the nickel aluminum alloy with a concentrated sodium hydroxide solution. In this process, most of the aluminum reacts with sodium hydroxide and dissolves, leaving many irregularly sized micropores. This microporous structure on the nickel mesh surface, from a microscopic perspective, creates a three-dimensional porous structure. It is this porous structure that significantly increases the specific surface area of the nickel mesh, leading to higher catalytic activity.
Beijing United Coating Technology Co., Ltd. produces nickel-coated aluminum or aluminum-coated nickel composite wire materials for spraying, instead of nickel aluminum alloy wire. These composite wire materials are made by wrapping a nickel wire (LX103) with aluminum strips or wrapping an aluminum wire (LX105) with strips, thus forming a wire material product with aluminum and bimetallics bound together. Compared to powder-core wires like nickel aluminum alloy wire or nickel-coated aluminum powder/aluminum-coated nickel powder, they excel in both the ease of actual spraying operations and the integrity of the aluminum metal shape.
Additionally, United Coating Company offers thermal spray equipment and automated production lines for coating nickel-aluminum wire materials.
