Waterstop bolts are also called segmental waterstop bolts; they are used for water stopping and reinforcement of basement shear walls or anti-personnel fortification walls, as well as for controlling the formwork.
Due to the drawbacks of traditional waterstops for pull bolts, the new three-section waterstop bolts achieve cost savings, ease of construction, and double the construction speed. Additionally, they can also increase the speed of dismantling building forms and ensure zero damage to the forms.
When casting concrete for the foundation walls or columns, secure the formwork to prevent blowout. This is because the rod passes through the wall, and water can easily seep in along the bolt. Therefore, a square steel plate is welded in the middle of the bolt, called a water stop bolt, which can increase the water penetration path and serve as a water stop.
