
Description: Domestic Darlington Tube, ULN2803
The ULN2803 is a monolithic high-voltage, high-current Darlington transistor array IC. Composed of 8 groups of NPN Darlington transistors, it features high-voltage output characteristics and a cathode-clamping diode capable of converting inductive loads. The collector current of a single Darlington pair is 250mA. Darlington transistors can be paralleled to handle higher currents. This circuit is primarily used in relay drivers, solenoid drivers, lamp drivers, display drivers (LED gas discharge), line drivers, and logic drivers.
Each Darlington pair of the ULN2803 has a 2.7kΩ series resistor, which can be directly interfaced with TTL or 5V CMOS devices.
