Ice is a transparent hexagonal crystal structure. Pure water freezes at 0℃ under normal atmospheric pressure. If the water contains impurities or the pressure increases, the freezing point of water will decrease.
Industrial ice, also known as cooling ice, large ice cubes, strip ice, ice bricks, etc., is made by freezing pure tap water at around -20 degrees Celsius. It is primarily used for cooling purposes and does not meet hygiene standards. It is typically produced in an ice tank by filling it with tap water, adding a certain amount of salt ammonia and refrigerant, and then freezing. Therefore, it is not edible. Industrial ice blocks are usually made into large pieces that are 1 meter long, 0.5 meters wide, and 0.3 meters thick.
