The LDRL-506 Transformer No-Load Characteristic Tester is a specialized instrument for measuring the capacity of distribution power transformers, as well as for measuring transformer no-load and short-circuit losses. It also features harmonic analysis capabilities, facilitating the analysis of on-site grid quality.

The LDRL-506 Transformer No-Load Characteristic Tester features an exquisite circuit design and unique approach. It employs advanced six-channel synchronous AC sampling and digital signal processing technology internally, successfully overcoming the challenges of low power factor measurement and simultaneous multi-channel signal measurement and calculation under AC power conditions. Measurement of Load Loss:

Displays three-phase voltage, current, and power, automatically calculates the impedance voltage percentage of the transformer, converts it to load loss under rated temperature and current, automatically identifies the core model of the oil-immersed or dry-type distribution transformer, features alarm adaptive prompt during testing, convenient for on-site users.

Measurement of deadweight loss

The instrument displays three-phase voltage, three-phase current, and three-phase power. It shows the distortion rate of the applied power waveform. It automatically calculates the no-load current of the transformer, converted to the rated voltage and corrected for waveform distortion, and displays the model of the core for oil-immersed or dry-type distribution transformers.

◆ Single-phase measurement:

Suitable for inspecting single-phase transformer defects or for use in field conditions without three-phase power. The instrument can record data from three single-phase measurements and can calculate the transformer's no-load current, no-load losses, impedance voltage, and load losses based on the transformer's different connection methods.

Measurement of zero sequence impedance:

Measurement of zero-sequence impedance is applicable to transformers with star-connected primary side and neutral point, the instrument can record zero-sequence impedance, zero-sequence reactance, zero-sequence inductance, impedance angle, and zero-sequence resistance.

The instrument is equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery, capable of outputting three-phase sine wave inverters. It features automatic voltage regulation, soft start and stop functions, and can measure transformer capacity and determine the model without any external power source. It also displays transformer impedance voltage and load losses at rated temperature and current.

◆ Directly measure within the instrument's measuring range; for measurements outside the range, external voltage and current transformers can be connected. The instrument can be set to the transformation ratio of the external voltage and current transformers, directly displaying the applied voltage and current values.

The instrument features harmonic analysis capabilities, allowing for measurement of the content ratio of multiple harmonics and the total distortion rate, with original waveform and histogram display.
