Powder mixing (homogenization) refers to the process of reducing the heterogeneity of two or more solid powdered materials to the lowest possible level under the action of external forces.
Due to varying purposes of powder mixing, the requirements and evaluation methods are not entirely the same, and the methods of mixing also differ. However, the fundamental principles of the mixing process remain largely similar. Summarily, there are mainly three types: 1. Convection Mixing 2. Diffusion Mixing 3.
