Brief introduction:
Long-term practice has proven that the test results of the simple salt spray method are not well correlated with the actual corrosion outcomes from outdoor exposure, and some products even show discrepancies. In contrast, the cyclic salt spray test is a more realistic method compared to the traditional constant-state salt spray test. As cyclic salt spray periodically subjects products to environmental stresses like salt spray, temperature, and humidity, which aligns with the majority of products frequently exposed to alternating dry and wet conditions, the correlation between the test results of the two is higher. Numerous cases also indicate that the relative corrosion rate, structure, and morphology of products after cyclic corrosion tests are very similar to the actual outdoor corrosion outcomes. A simple and common cyclic salt spray corrosion test consists of salt spray application and temperature and humidity storage. More complex cyclic salt spray tests, however, incorporate additional tests like saltwater immersion, condensation, UV ultraviolet aging, and sulfur dioxide atmosphere corrosion, on top of the salt spray application and temperature and humidity storage. Conducting cyclic salt spray corrosion tests in the early stages of metal component development is crucial for effective corrosion control, significantly extending the lifespan of metal components.

Case Introduction:

Competence & Advantages:To accurately perform tests, precise equipment is a must, and Jiashi Detection primarily uses imported equipment, including brands like UK ASCOTT, USA ATLAS, QLAB, and Germany LIEBISCH. For large components, we also have a 12-cubic-meter walk-in cyclic salt spray. These high-end devices can carry out the vast majority of current testing standards.
