Customized expedition jackets, originally used during the final ascent to high-altitude snow peaks, where there are still 2-3 hours to the summit. At this point, down jackets are shed, along with the heavy backpacks, and a lighter garment is worn to proceed lightly. This is the origin of the Chinese name for "expedition jacket."
Customized Waterproof Jackets, Waterproof Jacket Manufacturing Process:
1. The manufacturing processes of down jackets mainly include: laser cutting, three-dimensional cutting, adhesive bonding, waterproof zippers, waterproof coating, and windproof components.
2. Laser cutting ensures smooth and even edges without fraying.
3. 3D shearing allows for a better fit of the sleeves and knees, conforming to the body's contours for enhanced comfort.
4. Seams are bonded with glue, preventing moisture penetration.
5. A waterproof coating is applied to the surface of the clothing, enhancing its water resistance and reducing corrosion caused by rain. The waterproof zipper features a protective water-resistant seal layer over the outer part, preventing moisture from seeping through.
Customized Waterproof Jackets, Features of Waterproof Jackets:
1. So-called waterproof refers to the ability to effectively block the intrusion of rain and frost, whether you're sitting in a damp area or walking through a stormy environment, preventing water from渗透 into your clothing and making you feel damp and cold. Breathability means that when you engage in high-intensity outdoor activities, your body naturally sweats and releases a lot of moisture. If this moisture can't be quickly expelled, it will trap sweat between your body and clothing, making you feel soaked through. In rainy weather, this can make you feel even more damp and cold. Especially in extreme cold conditions like high mountains and canyons, body coldness and hypothermia are very dangerous, so the clothing's good breathability is crucial.
2. Wind resistance refers to preventing the wind chill effect. In varying natural conditions, when cold wind penetrates through our clothing, it blows away a layer of warm air close to our skin. This layer of warm air is about one centimeter thick, with a temperature of 34-35 degrees Celsius and humidity between 40%-60%. Even the slightest change in this warm air can make us feel cold and uncomfortable. When the cold wind enters through the clothing and disrupts this warm air layer, it causes rapid heat loss and a drop in body temperature, leading to an immediate sensation of a chill. This is what is known as the wind chill effect.
Customized Waterproof Jackets, Washing Instructions for Waterproof Jackets:
When washing a waterproof jacket in the washing machine, it's crucial to choose a model with an outdoor clothing wash and dry cycle to protect the jacket's waterproof and breathable layer.
1. Washing: The washing machine should be able to adjust the appropriate washing rhythm and intensity. When cleaning a down jacket, it's important to avoid washing friction that may damage the jacket's waterproof coating.
2. Rinse: Washing machines should have foam self-check technology to thoroughly remove detergent residues, preventing chemical damage to waterproof coatings.
3. Dewatering: During the process of the washing machine gently removing water from the down jacket, the coating of the down jacket must not be damaged.
4. Drying: The washing machine can dry down jackets at temperatures not exceeding 55 degrees Celsius, thus avoiding damage to the waterproof and breathable coating from high heat. Better results can be achieved if used in conjunction with a water-resistant spray.
Customized Waterproof Jackets, Waterproof Jacket Fabric Types:
1. Two-ply bonded fabric -- only a waterproof and breathable layer is bonded underneath the outer layer. A lining must be added inside during clothing production to protect the waterproof and breathable membrane.
2. Three-layer bonded fabric – combines a waterproof and breathable layer beneath the outer fabric, followed by a lining layer, eliminating the need for additional interlining during garment production.
3. Two-and-a-half-layer fabric -- The outer fabric is compounded with a waterproof and breathable layer, followed by an additional protective layer (not interfacing). Since the protective layer is already present, there is no need for a lining during garment manufacturing. However, it is much lighter and softer than three-layer coated fabric.
