Some checks are based on PID diagrams, while others rely on single-line diagrams. I personally prefer using PID diagrams as there are too many single-line diagrams and they are cumbersome to handle. After the integrity check is cleared, the next step is to conduct a pressure test or an air-tightness test. The pressure test usually involves hydrostatic testing, with pneumatic testing being less common, though it does occur. However, safety measures must be strictly followed as pneumatic testing is extremely dangerous, and any safety incidents could be severe. The test pressure for the pressure test is generally 1.5 times the design pressure. It should be noted that the pressure for hydrostatic testing is definitely greater than the design pressure, which in turn is larger than the pipeline's maximum working pressure, which is greater than the normal working pressure of the pipeline. These considerations are all based on safety, ensuring that pipeline safety is generally guaranteed. Air-tightness tests are usually performed on gas pipelines, involving the application of soap water to welds or flange connections to check for bubbles. The gas used is typically air or nitrogen.

When installing seamless steel pipe pipelines, the longitudinal seams should be positioned where they are easily accessible during hydrostatic testing. Pipelines that pass through floors, walls, foundations, railways, and highways should be fitted with protective sleeves, and pipe sections inside should generally not have welds. If welds are unavoidable, they should be pressure tested and approved before installation. The gap between the steel pipe and the sleeve should be filled with insulating material.

Measurement of pipe gradient: Place a flat iron on the pipe, lift one end until the bubble is centered, then measure the height of the iron lifted above the pipe. Divide this height by the length of the iron level to obtain the gradient value of the pipe. The gradient direction is towards the end lifted by the iron level.
