The TD Belt Conveyor Hoist, also known as the High-Efficiency Bucket Elevator, is a series of buckets uniformly mounted on a circular belt, used for the continuous vertical conveyance of materials.
The belt bucket elevator offers several major advantages over the conventional chain bucket elevator:
1. Due to its use of a belt as the traction component, it offers smooth transmission that is not achievable with chain bucket elevators. There are no impacts caused by the traction component, resulting in minimal noise and significantly higher efficiency compared to traditional chain bucket elevators. Hence, it is also known as an efficient bucket elevator.
2. Due to its belt-driven mechanism, it lacks the shock caused by the chain-driven structure, resulting in smooth transmission. Therefore, the line speed can be significantly increased, allowing for faster material transport and higher carrying capacity.
3. Due to its low impact, qualified belt bucket elevators have a long service life, almost equal to the lifespan of similar belt conveyors under the same operating conditions, while the lifespan of the chains in chain conveyors is only one to four years.
4. Compared to chain bucket elevators, it has higher operational requirements and is mainly used for conveying powdered materials, with a higher cost.
5. Due to its belt-driven mechanism, positioning is relatively challenging. Insufficient counterweight can lead to slippage and deviation, and the difficulty in axial positioning often results in frequent occurrences of deviation.
