Standard for gas pipeline installation in laboratory gas cylinder room

1. Piping for conveying dry gases should be installed horizontally. Piping for conveying wet gases should have a slope of not less than 0.3% and incline towards the condensate collector.

2. Oxygen pipelines and other gas pipelines can be mounted on the same framework, with a spacing of not less than 0.25 meters, and the oxygen pipeline should be above the other gas pipelines that are not oxygen pipelines.

3. When piping is laid parallel to flammable gas piping, the distance between them must not be less than 0.50m. When crossing, the spacing should not be less than 0.25m. When layered, the piping should be above. Indoor piping should not be laid in ditches or directly buried. Avoid running through unsuitable rooms.

4. Gas pipelines should not be laid on the same framework as the cables and wiring installed at the store.

5. Gases should be conveyed through seamless steel pipes. Pipes for gases with purity of 99% or higher should be made of stainless steel, copper, or seamless steel pipes.

6. The connection parts of pipes and equipment should be made with metal pipes. For non-metallic flexible hoses, substitute with rubber hoses.

7. Valves and accessories for gas pipelines must not be made of copper. Other gas pipelines may be manufactured from copper, carbon steel, malleable cast iron, and other materials.
