Applicable conditions for high-pressure jet grouting method
① The high-pressure jet grouting method is applicable to underground reinforcement, prevention of sand pipe bursting and ground heave during underground excavation, protective structures of buildings, such as retaining walls and soil-retaining structures, as well as for seepage prevention, liquefaction prevention, and reinforcement treatment of buildings.
② Jet grouting is effective for sandy soils, clayey soils, loess, and silt. It resolves the difficulty of grouting reinforcement for fine-grained soils. However, for large gravel diameter, excessive gravel content, and soils with a high amount of fibrous humus, the rotational jet grouting quality is slightly inferior, and sometimes even worse than the effect of static pressure grouting.
③ Shotcrete reinforcement can be applied to sandy soils, silt, clay, loess, and muds with penetration counts N=0-30. However, for gravels with excessive diameter, high gravel content, and humus soil with a large amount of fibrous matter, the shotcrete quality is poor, and sometimes even inferior to the effect of static pressure grouting.
④ Highly suitable for use in construction sites with limited space, low clearance, hard soil at the top and soft soil at the bottom, where production operations cannot be halted during construction, traffic cannot be interrupted, no environmental pollution can be caused to the surroundings, and neighboring buildings cannot be affected, the high-pressure jet grouting method should be employed.
